How to reach Chardham

By air

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant (DED) in Dehradun, ~35 km from Haridwar and ~20 km from Rishikesh. Daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. For helicopter Chardham, Sahastradhara helipad (Dehradun) is the departure point.

By train

Haridwar Junction (HW) is the main rail head. Direct overnight trains from Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Howrah and most state capitals. Rishikesh (RKSH) and Dehradun (DDN) are alternatives.

By road

From Delhi: NH-334 to Haridwar (~230 km, 6 hrs). From Haridwar the yatra circuit follows Rishikesh → Devprayag → Rudraprayag, branching for each dham. All routes are paved but mountainous; July–August has landslide risk.

Best starting point

Haridwar is the traditional start of the Chardham Yatra and offers the best mix of train connectivity, hotel options and proximity to all four routes. Our packages typically begin and end here.
